RESPONSIBILITES
Do you enjoy controlling multi-domain-physics systems like robots, cars, or generators? Do you like modelling and identifying the dynamics in your system (linear or nonlinear), designing an appropriate controller (whether its an EKF or PID), then implementing it on hardware (in Simulink, C++, or even assembly)?

We have a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Controls Engineer who wants to join a world-class engineering team: architect, design, and implement new automation and control algorithms for our Linear Generator.

The Linear Generator is a sophisticated, automated, integrated system with mechanical, electrical, fluid, thermodynamic, and thermal dynamics. Control is critical to our products performance

The Senior Controls Engineer has significant influence over our architecture while being part of a dynamic team responsible for hardware, electronics, controls, performance, and software. The engineer will identify system dynamics, design and simulate control algorithms, and implement and test the designs on hardware. This is an exciting opportunity for an automation and controls generalist with a passion for application, implementation, and integration.
Model and identify thermodynamic, fluidic, and mechatronic system dynamics
Design and simulate automation, controllers, diagnostics, and fail-safes for a novel integrate platform
Communicate algorithms with block-diagrams, pseudo-code, code, etc.
Debug sensors, actuators, and subsystems for noise and disturbances and assist calibration, verification, and validation
Implement algorithms and continuous-integration (MIL, SIL, PIL) tests in C++17

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated closed-loop control of sophisticated systems using bare-metal, rapid prototyping and/or real-time operating systems
Experience with systems involving multiple physical domains
Understand real-time hardware as it impacts timing and discretization
C/C++ in embedded realtime systems
Experience with sensors such as pressure transducers, RTDs, current transducers, and quadrature encoders
Experience with actuators such as motors, valves, and pressure regulators
Masters Degree or equivalent in controls, mechatronics, electronics, or systems
