Description

The Retail Network DevelopmentManager will ensure strategic dealer network representation market-wide,offering premium retail experiences across the BMW and MINI brands. This rolewill convey and convince Regions and dealers to adapt annual network actionplans through the exchange of market studies, and to adhere to CORA, BrandValue and facility requirements and policies and procedures.

The Retail Network DevelopmentManager will evaluate, execute and manage processes related to ownershipchanges, relocations and dealership changes. He/she will ensure state laws areadhered to, process and evaluate candidates to ensure they meet BMWrequirements. This role will manage process and documentation forcontraction/consolidation, ROFR, bankruptcy filings, etc. within US dealernetwork through review and coordination with Regions and Legal.

The Retail Network DevelopmentManager will manage Center Agreements and direct policy for necessary changesand renewals. The incumbent will drive and implement the development of BMWnetwork strategy, guide Regional staff in activating market specific actions byproviding the resources and expertise to drive success based on market studiesand network development needs in the competitive and unique legal environment.He/she will manage monthly dissemination of market share analysis and marketstudies developed to analyze opportunity or performance. The Retail NetworkDevelopment Manager will advise Franchise Committee on National strategyposition for network actions and recommend action.

The Retail Network DevelopmentManager will manage the Added Value Program (AVP) with the Retail ProjectsManager ensuring that all aspects support BMWNA?s strategic targets, and areappropriately communicated to Dealer Forum AVP committee and ultimatelydocumented and communicated to all regional personnel and all dealers. Thisrole will review AVP correspondence to dealers regarding outstandingcommitments affecting AVP payments or AVP escrow.

The Retail Network DevelopmentManager will develop and drive policies and procedures for Future Retailfacility implementation and corporate identity.?He/she will ensure that brand standards are met and that all internaland external partners are aligned and stay on track. This role will engage andgenerate processes with external Project Management Organization (PMO) team toprovide support with the entire scope of work.?

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Business or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years in the automotive industry
  • 5 years of dealer development experience
  • Direct dealer contact experience

  • Additional Requirements:

  • Field experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of state statutes for automotive is preferred
