Analyze and evaluate the performance of the organization's financial, operational, and managerial processes systems to identify risks, areas for improvement, and to ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Collect, examine, analyze, and verify information about the organization's systems and processes by reviewing manuals, policies, reports, financial statements, and other written materials, and by interviewing organizational members where required. Identify, analyze, and document aspects of the organization's systems and processes that do not comply with regulations, laws, and standards or do not comply with the organization's policies and operating procedures. Develop recommendations for changes to processes and systems that will minimize risk, improve performance and productivity, and ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Contribute to the preparation of audit reports that accurately document the audit process and its findings.
+ Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) over financial reporting and related Corporate Accounting Policies.
+ Establish and monitor audit procedures to ensure the internal control environment is designed and operating effectively, as well as provide recommendations for enhancements to controls, policies, and procedures to management.
+ Manage financial audits with Corporate Internal Audit and external auditors. This includes managing internal resources and deliverables, drafting responses to represent managements position on recommendations, and ensuring follow-up activities are implemented by the agreed upon timelines.
+ Coordinate with Compliance regarding financial aspects of Corporate compliance activities.
+ Prepare transparency reporting tasks and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate requirements
+ Assist with the implementation of the overall compliance strategy
+ Lead the compliance survey process
+ Develop audit procedures and work programs that address corporate policies and ensure compliance with local regulations
+ Ensure internal and external audit procedures are documented in accordance with professional audit standards and Stryker policies
+ Prepare and communicate meaningful, clear and concise reporting of audit findings and recommendations
+ Track and monitor implementation of management's action plans and monitor remediation
+ May coordinate activities, provide feedback on performance, and train other employees, including exempts and contractors.

Required Education and Training:
+ B.B.A. or B.S. in business with an emphasis in accounting or related curriculum
+ CPA preferred or master's degree
