The Suddath Companies is a multifaceted group of companies that specialize in worldwide corporate employee relocations, household moving, warehouse and logistics management and specialized transportation services. Description: The Business Development Associate works across sales and marketing functions to help develop lead sources, establish strategic partnerships and networks, influence market influencers and support demand generation/awareness campaigns. The primary objective of the role will be to help establish and grow Suddath’s local moving and storage business in South Florida, concentrating on targeted segments, locations, sectors and channels. The position requires strong networking, sales and marketing skills, with experience developing professional relationships, selling services, influencing key influencers and building brand awareness. Responsibilities: Identification of high-priority target markets and customers · Identify and prioritize the most attractive segments and zip codes to target in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale markets · Identify potential lead sources/influencers with highest impact · [Identify large corporate prospects to be targeted by sales] · Develop business development plans to effectively pursue these opportunities · Manage key data, contacts and opportunities via CRM Development of strategic partners and lead sources · Build relationships with key groups or business organizations that could be key influencers during a move and a source of referrals. These include real estate agencies and their top sales people, homeowners’ associations, real estate developers, property managers, facility managers, interior designers, staging companies, chambers of commerce, and others to be identified. · Develop programs that build awareness and provide mutual benefits for referrals · Execute awareness campaigns, networking events and advertising/sponsorship opportunities with the influencers to educate them on Suddath services and advantages Drive local marketing, PR and community outreach initiatives · Work in tandem with Corporate Marketing in support of local branch marketing activities · Actively work in support of developing social media channels and content, local PR and event opportunities · Serve as branch liaison with Corporate for local execution of marketing campaigns, sales collateral, digital marketing and reputation management · Serve as the local lead for community outreach and philanthropy initiatives Identify and close B2C opportunities · Close qualified new international household goods relocation sales opportunities from inbound phone, online internet lead generation programs and referrals · Research and qualify prospects; identify prospect needs, goals and objectives · Evaluate and select most cost efficient and service oriented modes of transportation (rail, truck, steamship, and air) to achieve customer’s requirements · Advise customer on customs requirements for international and domestic shipments in both B2C and B2B markets Requirements Professional Experience · 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, marketing or related field. Experience in real estate, moving/relocation or selling services preferred. · Proven ability to achieve targeted goals and metrics, especially with regards to generating quality leads and developing business opportunities. · Experience with demand generation activities, including event marketing, drip campaigns, social media and partner program development. · Strong planning and project management skills, with experience driving initiatives from start to finish within resources and budget. · Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. · Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and PowerPoint.
