Job Description:

Temporary Contract, 6 Months

The candidate will be responsible for developing bioanalytical LC-MS/MS methods with high performance standards to support clinical and non-clinical studies. This individual must have demonstrated scientific skills in developing robust and sophisticated small molecule bioanalytical methods to meet challenges of development programs.  Strong skills of this individual in the application of separation sciences, modern instrumentation especially in HPLC, MS, robotics, lab automation, to bioanalytics are expected. 

Knowledge of global regulatory bioanalytical guidance and in depth understanding of method development on assay performance in validation and study sample analysis is required.

The individual must be able to think critically and analytically as demonstrated in assay trouble shooting and issue resolution.  She/He must be updated on new technologies and has a strong capability in innovation in the application of novel technologies to resolve unmet needs in study support. 

Key Responsibilities and Preferred Skills:

  • Solid understanding of separation sciences and modern analytical technologies (e.g. LC, MS, automation, spectroscopies); abilities to apply scientific principles and technologies to bioanalytical method development.
  • Sample preparation including variety of extraction techniques for robust method development
  • Instrument optimization of LC-MS/MS to deliver highest performance output associated with high performance standards of sensitivity, selectivity and reproducibility.
  • Understand the robustness needs in assay performance and able to design stress test in method development, ensuring assay performance upon transfer to CRO laboratories.
  • Experience in method development projects, publications and presentations related to method development.
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting, issue resolution and innovation using bioanalytical principles
  • Strong communication skills with project teams and at conference presentation
  • Able to manage timeline and project prioritization
  • Innovation and implementation of new technologies to resolve unmet project needs and/or to advance bioanalytical science


  • Subject matter expert in method development and trouble shooting for clinical and non-clinical bioanalytical methods using LC-MS/MS and separation techniques with a deep scientific background to address technical challenges during method development.
  • Provides key support through scientific excellence and innovation in support of method development for small molecules in house and methods developed by others
  • A significant contributor to innovation and ability to work with functional leadership to identify the unmet needs of the research programs to find solutions
